Oak Harbor Family Dentistry is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every current and future patient to be able to learn about our practice, find our services, and contact us without barriers.

Our Standard

We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

What We Have Done

In October 2026, we completed an accessibility review and update of this website. That work included:

  • Improving color contrast so text and buttons are easier to read
  • Adding descriptive labels to links, buttons, and icons for screen reader users
  • Adding text descriptions to images
  • Correcting page headings and structure so the site is easier to navigate with assistive technology
  • Adding captions to videos that contain speech
  • Testing the site with a keyboard and with accessibility evaluation tools

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is ongoing work. We review new pages, photos, and videos as they are added, and we recheck the site periodically. Some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible, and we continue to make improvements.

Third-Party Content

Some features on this site are provided by other companies, such as online forms, appointment tools, and maps. We do not control how those tools are built, but we work with our vendors to address accessibility problems when we learn of them. If you have trouble using one of these features, please contact us, and we will help you another way.
